Long-time Broadalbin-Perth leaders Terry LaFountain and Brad Strait were both appointed to assistant superintendent positions by the Board of Education during its April 10 meeting. Starting July 1, LaFountain will be the district’s assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, and Strait will be the assistant superintendent for operations and safety.

On Tuesday, May 20, qualified residents of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District will vote on a proposed $43,381,000 budget for the 2025-26 school year. The proposed budget represents a 3.94% spending increase and a year-to-year tax levy increase of 2.80%, which is below the district’s calculated tax levy “cap” of 7.07%. A simple majority of voters (more than 50%) is required for budget approval.
