Students at Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School shared plenty of laughs and discovered the power of creativity during a special visit from children’s author and television writer Alan Katz on Wednesday, June 3.

By a vote of 357 to 128 (73.6%), residents of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District approved a $44,685,000 budget for the 2026-27 school year. Residents also approved a bus purchase proposition (387 to 98 votes, 79.8% approval rate), and re-elected incumbent Ryan Crane to a third five-year term on the Board of Education (414 votes). Crane was running unopposed for the seat.

Fourth graders at Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School recently participated in a hands-on experience hosted by B-P’s construction and skilled trades program in partnership with the Northeast Workforce Coalition.

The gym at Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School was filled with energy and excitement today as students took part in the Amazing Math Race: Survivor Challenge, a fast-paced competition that combined problem-solving, teamwork, and a race against the clock.
